Looking towards the constellation Perseus. This part of the Milky Way doesn't get photographed as often as the core but I like it because the view includes the Andromeda galaxy (upper-right) and the Pleiades (on the right side of the horizon). Seeing the Pleiades in the evening sky is a sure sign that winter is on the way.

NGC 7000, one of my first and favorite #astrophotography targets. This is 200 60-second exposures taken with my #nikon Z6ii which were then calibrated, stacked, and processed in #PixInsight and #darktable on my #Debian #linux computer.

Photo of "rattlesnake master" (Eryngium yuccifolium), a prairie plant. This specimen is growing in my yard.
Not my best picture but it's the first one where I used darktable's new multi-preset export feature. My workflow had been to make a full size JPG from the image I'm working on and then change the settings to make an additional reduced-size version suitable for social media. And now with the multi-preset option and a sprinkling of variables in the target storage path, I can click once and like magic I get the two image exports in the right place on my file-system. Thanks again darktable developers!
