We are sad to hear that the distinguished photographer Martin Parr has died. In 2002 we asked him to direct the video for our song “London” and he made a short film which was instantly recognisable as his work. We send our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Neil and Chris xx

It's my birthday in a week and a bit. I will be four years older than Arthur Lowe was when he started playing Captain Mainwaring.

Ye fucking gods.

Blackwell's sending books overseas for no cost is tremendous (should any non-UK residents be reading this and fancy a shoofty through the back catalogue - mine as well as Tom's...).
My preference is that you use your purchase to support an independent bookshop of your choice, or buy from @bookshop-org-uk.bsky.social, but if you are outside the UK (or if you are not) Blackwell's will send with free delivery: blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/pro...

RIP Martin Parr.

Back in 2019 Adelle and I were commissioned by Manchester Literature Festival to write and record fictional pieces in response to his Salford photographs.

Best of all, we got to meet the great man too.

What a huge loss. I will continue to admire his work for years to come. It’s been a long held ambition to use one a book jacket. www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...

Go see. Do.
“An utterly unique piece of work. It feels vaguely familiar but none of it actually is. To bring that level of freshness to a small independent production is quite an achievement. 9/10 - BBC Radio Wales.

GAME is in Birmingham this coming Wednesday, Bristol 12-14 & 19-21st Dec. More showings coming.

'Tis the season to be touting the back catalogue. So, for starters, here's an idea for the indie fan in your life.

The Penderyn Prize-shortlisted Whatever Happened to the C86 Kids?, as read/enjoyed/loved by Richard Osman, the Manics, Stephen Morris and @nivenj1.bsky.social among others.

Thank you.
