Nothing on this earth compares with a slice of quality pecan pie.
I think Pecan Pie is one of those things that is divisive now because it’s just a blob of sugar with nuts on it but to someone 150 years ago who ate shoes it was probably like having 12 orgasms at once

Everything wrong with political journalism in one graf. This is not a policy proposal that exists but that doesn’t matter, what matters is that someone “won” by asking it bsky.app/profile/larr...
What a strange framing and characterization. How does one describe his blatantly dishonest, racist question about taxes as “press[ing] the Mayor-elect on his policy proposals”? In what way does this lying troll emerge as a “winner“?

Been getting pretty deeply into mainstream DC comics lately, perhaps because straightforward conflict between good and evil appeals just now. Tiptoeing gingerly into the DC Finest line with the titles below—and wishing one could cast votes for future volumes. Starman (Jack Knight)! Birds of Prey!

In this fight we find ourselves in—the struggle for independence in the modern age—, we need to fearlessly push back against all market concentration wherever it arises.

I wrote an essay from the heart and mind about independence and the current state of culture industries.

Greg Ginn hadn't done an interview in 13 years when I reached out. I figured he would say no, if he said anything at all. But after enlisting three Gen Z musicians to be in Black Flag with him, he decided it was time to talk. For @nytimes.com:

A book like this was never likely to have particularly good politics (which are a crapshoot in cape comics in any case) but having it be a J.Michael Straczynski project guarantees that it will also be resolutely, *thuddingly* uninteresting
