For some reason YouTube started suggesting horror AU My Little Pony videos and I understand nothing of the original source material but you know what? Some of these are actually pretty rad. 10/10 background noise while I draw.

This piece is kind of a lot for my skill level and has been sitting as a WIP for ages but I'm gonna try to actually finish it for Peal's upcoming birthday.

I haven't fully committed yet but I MIGHT be getting a shiba inu puppy next month. I've owned a chow chow before so I figure another primitive cat-like breed would suit me well.

Saw a guy unironically argue that the Canada-China deal will lead to WW3 because it will empower China to take Taiwan; while also saying the US taking Greenland is perfectly reasonable and necessary.

Oh, just realized I'm close to 100 followers. Tbh, I'm surprised to have gotten this many at all given I've been mostly dead online and not posting much new art until recently. Not exactly doing great but, on the mend I guess. I'll never be the same but I appreciate those who've stuck around anyway.

Oooooh, apparently part of the new Canada-China deal is that in the future we will not need a travel visa to visit China. I would love to visit and do in person studies of the old architecture there so knowing that will become easier to do has me like 👀👀👀

Found these old photos of Mini Peal. He had the most aggro temperament I've ever seen in a male mantis. He fiercely hated his reflection and loved to bite me without warning. He'd mount females and EAT THEM. He'd also wrestle males to the ground but wouldn't eat them. RIP you violent little man.

Omfg, I'm a whole 36 years old and only discovered today that I have curly hair?? Someone said my hair looks like very damaged curls and should try a curl repair regiment. I tried it out for the first time and holy shit my hair has curled like crazy afterwards. I could've had this the whole time?!

Man what is the deal with art videos on youtube being full of randos trying to sell you their course and/or clickbaiting you by using art that isn't even theirs in the thumbnail (usually from a Chinese artist)? I mean, get that bag I guess but it's kinda annoying.

Silhouettes are your friend. They are my go to for working out initial character designs and complicated poses. You can also kinda cheat with it because if the silhouette LOOKS right it doesn't really matter if the anatomy isn't technically accurate.

Been on a roll tonight. Gotta stop now though but here's a couple sketches from Rosamund's ref sheet I've been working out. She's the butterfly goddess-queen that Peal serves and she uh... well, he has his hands full when it comes to her.

My overall plan with Brightvoid is to get all the actual design work completed this year so that I can be ready to start completing and posting the real comic next year. This includes the architecture. All of the writing is already done now so I know everything that I need to have ready.

Got a little distracted with tweaking Nugget's old ref sheet. It's still not fully accurate to how he looks now but good enough until I remake it, lol. I want to do a few more mini comics this year of him and Peal having short interactions cause they have such a fun dynamic to write.

I spent quite a while trying to finish this thing. It's a paint by numbers so the design isn't mine. But I did make a bunch of little changes to it and then added the gold at the end. I definitely don't like this method of painting cause it took so LONG for mid results, lol.
