NEW FRIENDS ACQUIRED. They're a breeding pair of giant American millipedes. Haven't decided what to name them yet but the larger one is quite chill about being grabbed while the little one is like "pls do not". Glad they survived the mail okay.

Been busy preparing for my surgery coming up on Monday. I'm nervous about being put under but will be glad to finally be done with all the random bursts of pain I get. Also weird to think today is my last day of work for the year, but I look forward to having the time to actually work on things.

Been thinking about maybe attempting to make a Second Sentinel cosplay during my time off. I won't be able to go anywhere or do much of anything post-op so I'm gonna need a variety of things to keep my brain occupied. I think it would be doable. We'll see.

I do hope that when my comic is ready for release that people understand I didn't copy from Silksong. I swear I planned most of it years before it came out and things like the prince wieding a pin like a fencer or World's Worst Mom Goddess is just me and Team Cherry sharing the same brainwave, lol.

I've been replaying the OG Hollow Knight to see how the difficulty compares to Silksong and holy shit, I am just crushing it. I am become too powerful.

My surgery date has officially been set in November. Got a few things I need to prepare for it as it's a 6 week recovery period and I'm going to be absolutely fucked up on pain meds for the first week. With luck I'll bounce back pretty fast though and get a bunch of art done.

I think my favourite of all the silly little details in Silksong are the wild grunting noises Widow makes during her boss fight. Idk why but they delighted me so much. I just love feral women I guess.

I keep getting my ass obliterated by Lace 3.0. I can do her first two phases just fine but phase 3 is such sensory overload for me that I am STRUGGLING.

The Trobbio reprise is a much appreciated bit of silliness among all this absolute depression. Most of these boss fights in act 3 feel so bad to win man.
