i have to actively fight the therapyspeak demon bc i've been fixated on therapy/psych bs since i was 12. i've gotten better over the years but it's hard bc 1) i dont have the same span of emotions as the average person and 2) i never process my emotions lmao, i intellectualize them to hell and back

I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.

By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"
