A fan of ginger beer; walking on the beach; thinly spread vegemite on hot, buttered toast; real coffee; writing; theatre; early modern Scottish history; sunsets that leave me breathless; warm hearths on wintry days and warm hearts most every day; cheese.

I'll never vote for them as I was in Uni when they sold students down the river re. tuition fees.

Out in the big office today and paused a moment to take in the view of the glen and the Clyde. Glorious autumn day in the Southern Uplands.
Posted as a timeline 'breather' 😊

Neil, the writing was on the wall long before this, when the UK Gov't broke international law & stripped Shamima Begum of her citizenship, causing her to become stateless.
Reform are just following that path to its natural end.

In the course of today's visits:
met an adorable hedgehoglet named Maisie who sat on the kitchen table by my cuppa, occasionally adding a thoughtful snuffle to the conversation. Elsewhere, a chat about chickens & some philosophising on troublesome cocks. All in a day's work & it's great being back!

Yes. I'll be trying to do some detective work. The church building closed in 1994, so I suspect as items were being put into storage, put into 'a safe place', etc., that it was moved at that time. Prior to that, I'm assuming it was just kept in the church.
The oldest com. cup we have is from 1692

Post church morning tea surpise: the return of the Crawford (Crawfurd) Kirk communion pitcher from 1764. Apparently, someone in the village was doing a clear out of their house, came across it, & handed it in to an elder. How cool is that?!
