That’s a wrap for me. Now I switch from MD to patient. A locum will cover my family medicine clinic while I have surgery and deal with whatever is next.

Post-menopausal women, speak with your MD if you bleed. Uterine cancer is suspected until proven otherwise. I hope sharing this helps others.

The horror of Oct 7, 2023, and vile aftermath of antisemitism globally, has made our connection to Israel more important than ever, for most Jews.

This was me as an infant on kibbutz.

Last year I returned to Israel to bear witness to the horrors of war and met Jews and Arabs working together. 🇮🇱🎗️

Covid-19 vaccine booster done!

(No, didn’t get it in my own office. I walked down the street to the big pharmacy). This is absolutely do-able in primary care, as we’ve demonstrated repeatedly. We’ve booked our patients of all ages for the moment we have them in stock. Flu shots arrived today.

We’re still waiting for flu shots and Covid-19 boosters for our patients. Jabapalooza for them booked in early November. In the meantime, today we’re bringing in seniors for their RSV vaccines. Let’s go!

I will upset everyone in equal measure by suggesting we’ve lost safety, in the broader world and the Jewish community due to extremism on the left/right. Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. In Ottawa, we live and work on unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishnabe Algonquin people.

I commit to Indigenous self-determination and collaborate in a healing journey with all of my First Nations, Inuit, and Métis patients.

Prepare for sleeves and elbows up, Canadians! Everyone >6 months is eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine (LP.8.1). It will provide fourfold increase in antibody levels. In our family practice, we expect to receive the vaccine mid-October. We’ve already booked our patients for flu & Covid-boosters. 🇨🇦💉
