Check out this super cool learning toolkit out in October. www.nai010.com/en/product/c.... It's been put together by the leaders of the Dutch 'Senses-Based-Learning' network (sensesbasedlearning.org) to try and get more sensory learning into education inside and outside academia #sensorystudies

Spent last week in Edinburgh flyering campervans and connecting with people in Facebook groups as part of my project on urban camping as outdoor recreation.

Survey takes 10–15 mins and open to anyone who’s camped in a city in the UK. (NB: Not unhoused/involuntary camping)

Sad to see that (school) Geography students think that leaving litter on the beach is okay 😢. Also, bagging your rubbish does not make it vanish. Also, when are these going to be called ‘recyclable’ and not disposable. Take your litter home or put it in the nearest bin people. Some of today’s finds.

What does morning smell like?

This was the question Kate McLean-MacKenzie and I asked at the #UncommonSensesV conference in Montreal. Beginning with a 6am smellwalk followed by a plenary we drew on literature, language, and crowd-sourced insight.

A smell map and co-authored paper to follow!

Early Mother’s Day walk just me n’ the dog while a football match was won and a sleepover lie-in was snoozed. Love watching the seasons change on regular routes. Happy to have a dog that, finally, after three years of seemingly relentless training, we can now let off in the woods.

Couch to 5K training with the boy going well (if slowly, trying to fit it round all the football training). Nothing like running with a pre-teen to make you feel old and unfit 😂
