It looks like the snow is coming down at a rate of about an inch an hour. Am glad it will stay fluffy so that I can clear it tomorrow!

The final supermoon of 2025, the Cold Moon, occurs on Thursday, December 4, 2025. It reached its peak illumination at 6:14 p.m. EST. A supermoon appears larger and brighter in the sky because it is closer to Earth in its orbit.

November's Beaver moon will be the largest and brightest Supermoon of the year.
A Supermoon occurs when a full moon coincides with its closest point to Earth. It can be up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than a regular full moon.

The red-bellied woodpecker is called that because of a faint wash of reddish-pink on its lower belly, which is often hidden by feathers and hard to see from a distance.
