This further reduces our force readiness, something the Republicans seem determined to destroy.

(It also includes a ban on any treatment for child dependents with gender dysphoria...including therapy. Note that most military personnel are at the poverty line as it is).

expect trans people to lie down and die. To shut up. To disappear.

Bathroom ban on bases, Pride flag ban at DoD facilities, and no gender affirming care for transgender servicemembers and their dependents. Servicemembers with trans spouses or kids will likely have no choice but to leave.

Well, my Senators have lost any hope of me not voting against them in the primaries and will be hearing from me next week.

The passage of the NDAA in the Senate makes it more likely that Democrats will cave and allow Republicans to kill trans people in the budget.

Justices may not serve consecutive terms (open to absolute term limits too).

This would reduce the risk of a majority of crazies just by increasing the numbers.
It would ensure some degree of qualification.
Justices would have a track record people could look at when confirming them.

Somebody pick holes in this idea.

The Supreme Court should number 13, one for each circuit.
Each Justice will serve a term (4 years to match other terms? I'd be open to longer because of how slowly courts move).
Each Justice will be appointed from among the justices *in the circuit they represent*

From my experience, Black MAGAts are always motivated by homophobia and/or transphobia.

They're willing to risk their own community to harm us. They see us as some kind of...existential threat.

It mystifies me, but the pattern is there.

I would actually say World Central Kitchen. Andreas is notorious for being a team player, he would rather it went to the team, I suspect.

Thunberg has done a remarkable amount for a 22-year-old, but she's still only 22. That's definitely going to bias the committee against her.

The Metro station under the Pentagon is currently plastered with HUGE ads that read "AI purpose built for the Department of War" and it's the most dystopian thing. And yes, the color scheme is...that.

There are too many people who think supporting trans rights loses elections. Some of them are fairly prominent.

I mean, look at Gavin Newsom, whom we're supposed to think is The Best Chance To Win In 2028, who is known to favor sports bans and likely ban all gender affirming care until 18.

And Trump IS saying that he expects this to be in the final bill...all of it.

It might be that Dems feel pushed into a situation where the price of preserving ACA subsidies...
