Today’s vote to move municipal elections to November is a win for democracy in San Antonio. More voices, more participation, and better representation for our city. Grateful to Mayor Jones, community leaders, and local organizations who helped move this forward.

My heart is with the Brown University community as they grapple with today’s violence. These spaces must be places of learning, growth, and safety—not fear. We owe students, faculty, and families a commitment to protect our campuses and prevent senseless harm.

As the President’s tariffs go into effect next week, Arlington’s Mayor Ross and I wrote to our Senators to urge them to help us protect the people of Texas’ truck manufacturing industry. Thousands of jobs are on the line.
