...there will be the pardoned tourists that visited the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021, and federal agents hired with the prospect of implicitly sanctioned "action" that will read into such statements license to proceed unlawfully against dissenters. There is already evidence for some of that.

To be more specific: the speaker's effort to taint all protesters with the potential presence of anti-fascist and anti-ICE sentiments, and even POTUS-branded brain-dead graphics all serve to discredit and dehumanize dissenters. This is one of the techniques to facilitate future worse suppression.

In den USA reicht es inzwischen, daß man darauf hinweist, daß Trump et al. Gesetze und Verfassung ignorieren, um als innerer Feind oder Terrorist bezeichnet zu werden. Definitiv ein Rechtsrutsch, der uns als weiter links erscheinen läßt. Schon fast eine Ehre. Besser als mit nach rechts zu rutschen.

In den USA wurde jedoch darüber ausführlich berichtet. Dies ist auch bemerkenswert, weil die Trump-Regierung gerade Federal Emergency Management Agency-Gelder für mindestens eine der betroffenen Gemeinden gestrichen hatte, nicht daß irgendetwas hätte rechtzeitig damit erreicht hätte werden können.
