Me, coming round to the idea of Guehi being our utility defender who can also play as the now popular CB-esque fullback on either side.

Please I’m on my knees.

JUST IN: Manchester City are among Marc Guehi's admirers. The race remains open and Guehi will listen all interested parties before making his decision.

We need to tie Szobo down asap with the new contract because….

The key criticisms I’ve seen (& said) are lack of concentration, passive/reactionary defending, too much ending up on his backside, distancing between himself & opp player & letting crosses in. Hardly any ridicule on his physical robustness. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Kerkez seems to be a figure of ridicule for a big section of the match going fans. but these are massive physical numbers. 608m of sprinting and 26 sprints is absolutely elite for a fullback. And the 1v1 defensive stats excellent too.
The team needs MORE piano carriers like him, not fewer #lfc

My money is on our suits feeding Orny the Ibou thing. I mean, it’s obvious as hell.

Did pundits & journos single out Mo because they know that gets them the most mileage in exposure & engagement or there’s something deeper in the undertone?
November 28, 2025 at 8:38 AM
I suspect we’ll be seeing an upturn in Ibou’s performances. 😂
November 28, 2025 at 8:33 AM
I know many do but personally I don’t get the feeling that the players have downed tools.

Saw some chatter on playing Endo. I’ve a lot of reservations about that but I must say he’d at least go into challenges without a second of hesitation.

The few match goers I know want him gone.

Arne Slot just said xG doesn’t tell the full story.

Sorry, I’m backing this man to the tilts.
November 27, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Idk about you but it’s good to see Arne Slot unshaven.
November 27, 2025 at 3:08 PM
It’s quite redundant to say he’s got the backing.

Ultimately the results decide.

Mbappe scored 4 in an away game but Real conceded 3.

PSG scored 5 & conceded 3.

Perhaps we can look at simply outscoring our opponents since we can’t fucking defend. Be great in at least one department.

We won all four games which Wirtzy started & played as the 10.

Just saying.
November 27, 2025 at 9:08 AM
There’s another way of looking at this.

It doesn’t have to be an interim caretaker (if available) & a new leader might in fact be better equipped without the burden of Diogo’s passing.
Some folks want blood but i'm a hard NO on sacking the coach.
A caretaker doesnt change the pressure on the players, give them new found confidence or accelerate the process for those still grieving.
All you do is sack a league winning coach who had to manage one of his players dying #lfc

Fans will always have the luxury of hindsight & that shouldn’t be a stick to beat us with. We also have the leeway in making assumptions.

The key question now is whether Arne Slot is the person to turn this around AND move us back to the top. To answer this requires, imho, reviewing what happened
November 27, 2025 at 8:37 AM
I think we should undertake a corporate measure. Head(s) have to roll. If internal review shows it isn’t Arne’s; then find one or two others to cull.

The set piece coach is one.

One of assistant coaches is another.

It’s a bastardly thing to do but it’s a necessary evil.
November 27, 2025 at 8:18 AM
Genuine question.

Why do so many take pride in Liverpool FC not sacking managers, like why is that a source of pride?
November 27, 2025 at 6:30 AM
I’d like to know the details of how the recruitment process works & a thorough assessment of its effectiveness.

My personal take, in general, is that the person managing the team & immediately responsible for it has to have an influential say in choice of position & players.
I hope the owners aren’t just looking at Arne but serious questions need to be asked of Richard Hughes.

The result is awful but in a disastrous run like this, I actually, for lack of a better word, “rate” the performance for the most parts.

Virgil’s brain fart, Ibou wandering focus aside, we showed more commitment, more desire, more threat than we did previously.

It’s a crazy post I know.
