Also the opening scene had some mediocre visual effects in spots & it wasn’t the best hook for me. Overall I’d recommend Bone Lake to horror fans wanting to watch something that’s a little different. Especially if you have a significant other to bring along with you. (4/4)

But some of the things I was mixed or negative on were that the script can be predictable. I do think someone’s enjoyment of the movie comes down to if they can guess the 2nd twist reveal because the 1st one is pretty easy. (3/4)

There are some performances that are both zany and unsettling at times. The cinematography was surprisingly great and there are some creative shots. I also thought the pacing was nice for a dialogue heavy horror movie. (2/4)

#BoneLake was a pretty fun horror movie filled with relationship drama, a twisted reveal, & some solid bloody kills. The script wasn’t groundbreaking or anything but I did like how it showcased how important trust is in a relationship. Especially in a horror movie situation (1/4)

To be fair though, this is based on a true story that I did not know of, & maybe every event is spot on. But I’m reviewing this story on the way it’s told in the movie & it just didn’t translate that well. Overall, I would recommend this to UFC and sports movie fans though! (4/4)

One of the main things that held the film back from greatness was its pacing. It just drags at points, making this 2 hour movie feel way longer. Also some of the dialogue wasn’t the best, & the ending feels a little awkward. (3/4)

Emily Blunt is also good in the movie & she picks up a lot of the slack in the emotional sequences. Benny Safdie’s direction is visually striking & he manages to make the film look like it released in the late 90s. While the story is also taking place in that time period. (2/4)

#TheSmashingMachine is a good biopic but I really wanted it to be great! The Rock gives a career best performance in this. But I still think there’s more work he needs to do to sell me fully on his emotional scenes. (1/4)

They're bringing back Matt going to church as well in #DaredevilBornAgain Season 2?! LETS GOOO!!!
Does this mean that James Gunn is figuring things out for Battinson to merge with the #DCU?!?! (I'm Delusional)
But I didn't care about any of the character arcs like I did in the first movie. Also the villains are cartoonishly bad and the film leans way too much into being an action/comedy. When I feel like the first movie had a great tonal balance. Definitely wait until discount day to see this one. (2/2)

#Nobody2 was a disappointment for me, but it's still decent! It's a superficially entertaining action film with some cool fight scenes here and there, but it didn't have nearly as good of a script as the first one. I did like the initial setup of the story and the character dynamic shifts. (1/2)

Honestly there are only a couple of things I’m mixed on. One being some plot conveniences that could’ve been smoothed over in the script. Also there’s a weird needle drop moment that feels out of place in my opinion. Overall though, I would highly recommend checking out #Weapons in theaters! (2/2)

I REALLY dug #Weapons! Such a refreshing horror movie that kept me on my toes. It has a killer score that adds so much to the film’s eerie vibe. Almost every actor delivers a great performance. I also loved the non conventional way that this story is told and each chapter has its own flavor. (1/2)

There are also some uniquely romantic scenes that are both sweet and horrific at the same time. My only mixed/negative is that the ending wasn't as good as the rest of the film. But overall it is definitely best to go into this as blind as possible, and with your significant other if you can!
#TOGETHER is a wild ride that I enjoyed a lot! Dave Franco and Alison Brie give stellar performances as a couple that struggles with codependency, and I loved how this film ties that into the body horror. Which can be gnarly at times! So many memorable and anxiety inducing sequences.

The 3rd act is so batshit crazy in a bad way that I almost didn’t finish it. The choices that the movie makes in the first 10 minutes alone are just baffling, & was a terrible direction to go with the story. Overall would not recommend this if you are a fan of the original! (2/2)

#HappyGilmore2  is everything wrong with most of the “long awaited” sequels that we’ve gotten in recent years. There’s a couple of jokes here and there that made me laugh but it’s mostly an unfunny mess. Every other scene there is a pointless celebrity cameo. (1/2)

My only real gripes are that the action is hit or miss for me. With one space action scene that steals the show. Also I wish we spent more time with the team during their more personal struggles. So that I could feel the emotional moments more. Overall a HUGE win for the MCU though!
#TheFantasticFourFirstSteps is a fantastic movie and a step in the right direction for Marvel! I loved the cast WAY more than I expected, especially Pedro as Reed. This team also felt like a real family. The visuals are stunning at times and Galactus has to be seen on the biggest screen possible!

#Thunderbolts is a good return to form for the MCU! Florence Pugh gives a standout performance as Yelena & she is becoming one of my favorite characters. The themes of depression & guilt make this one of the more compelling MCU stories. Also make sure you stay for the post credit, it’s a good one! 👀

#CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld is a decent MCU movie, but it's my least favorite of the Cap franchise. Anthony Mackie does a great job as Captain America, and his chemistry with the returning FAWS characters is fun. But it suffers from an underutilized villain, clunky action, and obvious reshoots.

He's so PERFECT, and I honestly can't trust anyone's opinion from now on that complains about this design!
