I was first introduced to scholarly research when I was in grade school. My mom, completing a graduate degree in education, would have me search for relevant articles using ERIC on microform. I might not have graduate degrees or be a librarian if I hadn't had this experience. (1)

Strangers stopped to help me, including one car. A neighbor stopped in his car when he saw me with a messed up face. I'm so grateful to live a place with caring people

I'll spare you the picture of my face. This afternoon, I fell face forward on the sidewalk, scraping my face, hands and knees (and scraping my glasses and watch and tearing my pants). Lisa took me to urgent care and everything checked out. I'm just pretty sore (ego and body).
