Hello space people, apologies, another request. I'm looking for people that could comment on in-space manufacturing and the potential benefits for humanity.
If that's you, or you know someone, do let me know. jdaoca[at]gmail[dot]com
Thanks!

NASA terminating $420 million in contracts
NASA is terminating $420 million in contracts the agency says are redundant or “misaligned” with its core priorities, but has provided few details about what is being cut.

This is an incredible blunder and is the exact reason why you follow operational procedures when doing anything of substance in the government. Those rules were written with the tears of many sacrificed staffers.
In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Hi space people, I'm looking for non-NASA experts to comment on the MAV portion of Mars Sample Return, and why it's so challenging to take off from Mars.

Food banks around the country are in desperate need of support. They rely heavily on resources from the USDA and many rural food banks don’t have communities that can make up for the current losses. Donations of non-perishable food or money is good but please call your Reps

Getting rwally tired of headlines being written to normalize stupidity. The Sec Def is most decidedly not an expert on climate change but wording a headline like this makes it sound like this is a decision based on science or reason, not the political play that it actually is

Liberal American media are not fact-checking Trump any more. They've given up.
Here, WaPo writes an entire article about US & European aid to Ukraine. Not one line on the fact that Trump repeatedly uses egregiously fake numbers to justify his hostility.

The misuse in recent weeks of Thucycides’ Melian Dialogue- the strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must- annoys me. The treatment of the Melians - murdered and enslaved - prompted small Greek city states to band together with Sparta and ultimately defeat Athens. That’s the lesson.

Just to reiterate for those in the back: “DON’T STOP COMMUNITY ORGANIZING!”
Remember that ONLY the Planetary Science Advisory Council (PAC) is an Advisory committee chartered under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). The AGs are community-based groups that organize themselves and are not Advisory in constitution, action, or fact. DON'T STOP COMMUNITY ORGANIZING!
So, the same week that an asteroid is discovered with a small chance of hitting Earth, the government shuts down one of the primary ways planetary scientists advise NASA.

Here’s hoping folks don’t forget that every technology we need to colonize Mars is also needed for colonizing the Moon. The Moon has the amazing benefit of being only 3 DAYS away, not MONTHS if something goes wrong.
