I was 18 when I found out trans men were a thing (I knew about trans women, I never once went 'that can probably work the other way', I have never claimed to be a smart man, just a man), I'd already planned to kill myself at 20 if life hadn't gotten better, so yeah, social media saved my life.

Without social media I would not have found the words I needed to explain the depression that had been slowly choking me to death since I was 11 years old, I am entirely certain I would not have made it past 20 had I not connected with the queer community online. I'm 34 now.
