When you want to give your crabby tabby some relief but don't want to put your own hand/forearm in the danger zone.

If a commercial hasn't annoyed you within its first half-second, then it's not doing its job, so congratulations, Target, I still wouldn't shop you if you were the last store on Earth or even loot you were one of your local stores on fire.

You're lucky there was even somebody here to complain after Bondi got through with us!
Empty cubicle after empty cubicle

I got this job because I ran a podcast! What's this document production shit? That's like the 19th century or something!

I mean, take the Post and their assembly line ChatGPT reactionary editorials and constant "TRUMP SAYS" headlines, for instance. Even this tripe centers his lunacy as somehow reality-based.

President Trump has long railed against the “fake news” as an “enemy of the people.” But this week, the president showed how far he has come in finding a new use for the media: as props.
For Trump, media manipulation is his show of force
The president has long attacked the media as “fake news,” but the White House has created a new crop of journalists to advance its policy priorities.

That is cute, assuming that he's willing to help anybody at all that voted for him.

Jerry Lewis still at 91%, though

Man we give them close to a trillion a year, I haven't heard of any new jets lately, save some money for a rainy day, Pentagon!

I think Arch Manning has more passes for negative yards today than most QBs have all season, not his fault, just insane play calling.
norbizness.bsky.social
How does he find time for all this good work on the street AND solving mysteries with Tracy Nelson?

Fuck, and I say this with all due respect (i.e. none), non-ecologically warranted hunting. It's not like the dogs are going to be unemployed.

Heck of a day to kick off pheasant hunting season in Ortonville! Grateful for this community’s hospitality, top notch guides, and bagging a couple birds.

What about that military having bake sales while schools get all the money they want idea I saw on a VW Beetle bumper sticker

Jesus shit, we get it, pheasants are man's most dangerous enemy, thanks for the 15 posts educating us about their incipient menace.

It never saved money or had the intention to
It violated hundreds of laws, most notably privacy
It will cost more in the short and long term without a doubt
It will harm millions at home and kill millions abroad
The NYT are gormless whitewashing pricks

Elon Musk’s DOGE never came close to cutting as much money by Sept. 30, when the government closes its books on the fiscal year, as he promised. Because its work has been obscured by crude accounting and White House maneuvers, it’s impossible to know how much DOGE actually did cut from the budget.
Not Even Congress Knows How Much Money DOGE Cut
Elon Musk’s team started a behind-the-scenes push for White House control over federal spending that is now an undercurrent of the government shutdown.

It'll end up costing more initially and in the long-term to fix and of course kill or harm millions here and abroad. Like this was ever about saving money, you gormless pricks.

The Post: Say what you want but our muscular President delivers results.

President Trump’s unprecedented efforts to pressure the Justice Department into prosecuting his perceived enemies have, so far, netted swift results — and more may be on the way.
Prosecutors push toward charging other Trump foes after Letitia James
With two of Trump’s foes now under indictment, Justice Department officials are pushing ahead with a list of additional cases.

Yes, doomed prosecutions in authoritarian states often have slapdash, weak, paper-thin indictments, thanks for noticing.

Nothing like having the top skill position players from around the country and the transfer portal and never throwing the ball more than two yards downfield.

The Texas offensive line and super-timid playcalling may be the worst thing I've seen since Weekend at Bernie's II at the dollar cinema. Probably 45-50 stars worth of talent in the 11 offensive starters and just look like dogshit.

This bodes ill for people's remembering Barney Miller then. At least Succession got like 100 Emmys to The Wire's none (and no acting nominations either).
norbizness.bsky.social
I mean, Succession was fine, subpar Thick of It improv mixed with Dynasty, it helped pass the time, but I have to believe that TV doesn't matter theory is belied by the titans at the start of prestige TV: Wire, Sopranos, Deadwood. Those get mentioned plenty, more than most movies.
norbizness.bsky.social
Maybe all the mattering got sucked out by 12-15 New York Times stories on each of those shows every week.
