I love every version of me!
Except current me.
And that version from 7 years ago where i briefly fell down the right wing youtube pipeline… i try to forget about that one.

A comic I drew, hypothesizing on what would happen if my current 20-year old self got to talk to my past selves at various ages.
The script of it is far too long to paste in this alt text, but i'll sum it up:
I first meet my 9 year old self, who is explaining the mechanics of a lunar eclipse, and drawing a diagram of it. I am very proud of her for this, and slightly somber, knowing how much more gifted she is for her age than I am.
Next, I meet 11-year-old me, who was just informed she would be going to a different middle school from the rest of her elementary school classmates. I try to comfort her, and tell her to keep her head up and keep being herself. She is also worried about whether or not Trump will win the 2016 election, and I tell her not to stress about it.
Next, I meet 16-year-old me, who I try to talk about fan projects with, but she pretty quickly catches on to her impending transition, which I continuously deny since I figure she needs to realize she's trans on her own.
Finally, I meet 18-year-old me, who is extremely distressed about the combination of starting college and being early into transition, and is desperate for any escape from it all. I give her a lengthy pep talk, with emphasis on taking things one day at a time, and how resilient she's been up to this point.
The comic, however, is not over. Two disembodied voices (both being voices in my head) debate whether or not to hypothesize on if I met myself from my early teen years, which is then shown. In this panel - the final panel - my 13-year-old self is going on and on and on about the stupid internet culture of the time, and generally just being an ignorant brat, as she would. In response to this, I can't stop saying "shut up" to her over and over. I also think to myself in this moment, "oh my god, i get it now. all these years of pain... have all been karma... for THIS."

This comic took up all of my free time on Monday, and it's one of my favorites I've made, so I hope you like it!

So every year since 2020, i’ve made a “moodboard” of my interests and thoughts of that time period

I just made 2025’s, and I just realized I can’t share it in full with ANY of my friend groups because it has stuff i’d rather not talk about with all of them 💀

Because 1. Why do i need to learn about resistors and capacitors in series and parallel when i’m going into WEATHER
and 2. It’s just alphabet soup where it’s impossible to remember what anything specifically means

Okay I know i have calc 3 this semester, and i’ve quickly learned that calc 3 is no better than calc 2

2 months ago, Venus would’ve been this high up 2 hours before sunrise, now it’s only this high during dawn
And soon it’ll be unviewable entirely
I always hate watching Venus recede lower and lower into the horizon, because it’s one of the most interesting things in the night sky to view from Earth

So i spent 6 or 7 hours of last night studying, and am studying another 3 or so right before, all of this while i have several other outside things to worry about

So if I don’t do well on this exam, i’m going to collapse, melt into a little puddle, get evaporated into Avery vapor by the fluorescent lights in the room, and get inhaled into the lungs of everyone in the exam room, causing them all to suffocate to death

It’s 3 am the night before my multivar calc exam, i’m going through the practice exam, and miraculously, my four remaining brain cells are actually working together and comprehending the problems for once

I have nonstop headaches, nonstop canker sores, have none of the brainpower required to do well in my classes, my transition hasn’t been how i hoped, and i live in a country that becomes more hostile towards me every day

Someone gotta be having a field day with a voodoo doll of me at this point 😭

So last night, i had a raging headache, i finally fall asleep, i wake up today, and i STILL have a headache

I’ve also been getting headaches a LOT more frequently lately, maybe like once or twice a week at this point where it used to be under once a month

I still can’t believe the Rainforest Café right by me shut down, and now the closest one is hours away
What’s the point in living when you no longer have quick and easy access to a place where you can eat french fries in a room with cool lighting while gorilla and elephant animatronics roar at you

I don’t think there’s any feeling in life more simple yet irritating, than connecting a device to a charger, and it DOESN’T START CHARGING

And obviously this happens when the device is dead/nearly dead too because why else would you need the charger

Planet gazing this winter is gonna be pretty boring ngl
Venus is gonna be unviewable
Mars will be unviewable
Mercury, Uranus, and Neptune are never heckin viewable from NJ anyways
The only saving grace will be Jupiter
And i guess Saturn too in the evening sky

On a lighter note, I WAS able to find Mars
But it’s very low on the horizon, and it’ll become unviewable entirely around September, and it shouldn’t return to the dawn sky until spring
