I really struggle these days to see any government who uses their military ethically. Given that, I don't understand how any scientist could work on any technology with military applications. Surely they know how it will be used.

Except that if you remind chatGPT that in science implied multiplication always takes precedence it flips its answer and gives you the correct result.

Exactly how useful is median income for guiding policy? Does it distract us from examining more closely the situation of people who earn significantly less or more. Maybe the extremes are where we should be looking because it is here that public policy can do the most good (or harm)?
