India saw almost two million more deaths in 2021 (the deadliest year of the pandemic) than in the preceding few years. data per CRS, SRS and MCCD 2021 which were released yesterday. This is 1st govt data which shows official death toll was a gross underestimate!

Watched LOTR: The War of Rohirrim yesterday. Underwhelming to a large extent. Reeks of a cheap attempt to milk off of Tolkien & LOTR. The material isn't enough to have it stretched into a 2 hr film. Feels dull at some points. The animation is gorgeous though. Glad they stuck to 90s-anime style.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
