My plunge into Horus Heresy 3rd ed has resulted in these Thallax, for what I'm still calling Forgeworld Smeg
My teen did a little dance when the news broke. So then I had to try to be the responsible parent who finds murder repugnant. I felt slightly soiled as I did so.
Bologna 1945 from Taktyka i Strategia here, trying a simple looking scenario to learn the system.
Very rarely. I don't think I've ever been to the cinema alone. Maybe to an event alone, but the last time I can recall doing that was several years ago.
One of the days I always look forward to in the calendar, the start of the English Test match cricket series. Disappointed that the selectors didn't cheer up us cricket stattos by picking S or T Curran, to have an instance of brothers playing international cricket on opposing teams.

One of the models I've most enjoyed painting, old Mortis Metalikus.
I understand Easter to be some sort of festival of new life and consumption. Which means it's only appropriate to be spending time with this ebay rescue Tyranid Hive Tyrant. Definitely a model where the solution to a poor fit was deemed to be more epoxy resin.

I think it depends. Ask yourself: what do I want to enhance in my depiction of this place, and would a direct experience of being there help me to enhance it? Or: what is it about the way I write that would be enhanced by being there?
My current thinking is that they could have used the lift capacity for Browning's HQ to drop more forces to the south, but hindsight is absolutely a fine thing to have. Running Saga of the 6th with an accelerated and closer drop is on my to-try list.
A lovely visual answer to the question: were the 1st AB's drop zones well located for them to accomplish their mission?
My current mini painting project: expanding my Northwind Highlanders force for #battletech. Here's the long range fire support; a completed Awesome (left), a base coated Archer (centre), and a WIP Marauder (right). PPC heaven!
Aiming to vary the base green camo schemes to keep me interested.
Not a box but it made my pre teen brain light up with the possibility of what this game could portray on a table.
They look great to me. I'm also doing my IS mechs as the Highlanders. Never mind the lore, all these mechs operate over so many years in so many different environments and with replacement parts that who's to say what's "accurate"? Paint them how you want them.
Beautiful board and minis. I'd have taken them for at least 15mm had you not specified 10mm.
Airbrushing would be my choice but I guess that's not an option for you. Maybe try an overall medium grey base coat and then add the red and black colours using contrast style paints, which will blend more easily, I think, as well as giving automatic shading effects.
