It was obvious she was in pain, but, he didn't see any reason for it, not that physicality mattered, he knew a man who could break your mind, and a woman who could summon lightning-

Moving slowly, he saw a woman, it took a moment to figure out who she was, and then it clicked. He remembered her, though only slightly, but that was more than most got.

Stepping forward, the blades retracted, and he put his fingers to his lips as he approached.

-wasn't one he knew well, but one he'd encountered. Following the sound, he made his way cautiously, moving silently, even though most would assume he couldn't. Years of training and all that.

Rounding the corner, he heard it again. His fist balled and the the three six-inch blades revealed -
