Thank you for this article on the spread of the flu in UK schools. But could you change the image illustrating it? The flu is a virus that is mainly airborne. Vaccination, masks and good ventilation are the most effective means of prevention.

Our CO2 monitor, the JaspAir penguin, will be deployed at numerous sites in early 2026 to measure air renewal quality in schools - we hope. We are currently preparing its flight case, while finalizing the design details because the devil is in the details!

On Nov. 4 & 5, @uconn.bsky.social and K12 students participated in lessons that involved them in building Corsi-Rosenthal air purifiers. Once the purifiers are built, every district's classroom will be equipped with one and their impact will be studied.👍

Achieving good indoor air renewal is possible with a properly sized mechanical ventilation system. An appropriate occupancy rate then allows CO2 levels to be kept very low, thus ensuring excellent comfort and health safety.
