The results of my first ever commission! This wonderful creature is owned by @lukesdeadlydinosaurs on Instagram!

This is Lucian Taylor from his book Bygone Dawn!

Getting to be the first to model this amazing creature was such an honour and I had a lot of fun working on it!

I've started something... expensive and time consuming... I don't know if I can stop myself :)

But how cool would it be to have a complete #Ceratosaurus nasicornis skull in your room??

It'll only take 15 days non stop printing and cost £70 in filament, thats fineeee.

I'm working on him again... I will finish him eventually I promise... Need a more accurate puppet

also next year is 100 years since P. bradleyi was officially named (no clue what month)!

the annotation is me going crazy trying to decide on how far forward the filamentous feathers should come...

The internet doesn't have many hi-res images of what is possibly the only image of Steller's sea cow drawn from life (itself a copy of a now-lost sketch), so I'm uploading this version from Stejneger (1936). Very sad that this simple graphic represents the total in vivo art record for this speies.

About half(?) of a mammoth Molar! This has been in my family for quite some time, found some time between 1970-1980 on West Runton Beach in Norfolk, wondering if anyone would know how to figure out how old it is.

Weighs 2.79kg
21cm tall, 15cm long and 7cm wide.

Some 40 million years ago, northern Europe was covered by what is known as the Baltic Amber Forest, now known only from pieces of amber found on the coastline.

An illustration from my recent article in the magazine Suomen Luonto, based on research by Dr. Eva-Maria Sadowski.
