Happy #WinterWednesday! Today's track is called "Long, Dark Nights." On this one, I really tried to capture the feeling of deep winter, when it seems like the warm sun will never rise again.

Gonna have to go with Between the Buried and Me on this one. Their album The Great Misdirect is almost solely responsible for me getting back into metal, but then not only the Dustie stuff came out but also how they handled it. Just fucking pathetic all around.
Question for the Skyline: What was your HARDEST "cancel"?? Like the actor/singer/athlete that was the hardest to drop.

I feel like it's always people I don't fw getting canceled so it's never really a loss.

The hardest one was maybe TI because I actually liked multiple albums by him.

Put metal on there, but you can fuck right off into the sun with that NSBM bullshit. 🖕🏻

As for things I want to get back into this year? Write more. Make more music. Do more social work. And be less dependent on big corporations that don’t give a fuck about me, you, or our neighbors.

What have I been up to for the last 3/4 of a year? A lot, but also not much. Getting back into “retro” tech and generally being less online. Repaired some old electronics like my 20 year old DVD/VCR receiver.

The last twelve months have been really fucking hard, and I’ve spent a lot of time away from social media. New job that landed me in an 8-month training class meant no writing, minimal personal freedom, and my mental health took a colossal dump. Clawing my way back to a new normal a day at a time.
