Artists are cheaper in the long run too, because they don't require an asinine amount of electricity and resources to run. Usually some chicken tenders and a pat on the head is enough.

I know the feeling. Feels like I have to start off conversations on the defensive or at least anticipate some opposition on occasion. "I'm not saying it's bad or anything, but..." or "..but that's just my own personal opinion." Working customer service only seems to reinforce this mentality.

Sure, if we're picking between a turd sandwich and a giant douche, then yeah, Newsom is fine. He sucks right now, but he's not beyond redemption. I won't be holding my breath though.

But then the problem has never really been the candidates. The real problem is getting people to vote.

If it gets down to the wire, then sure, Gavin would get my vote because unfortunately that's just how the two-party system works. Harris did get my vote in the end. But we've still got a lot of time before 2028, and I'm really hoping he changes his tune between now and then.

The point is, Democrats aren't going to win any leftists by bending on their ethics in an attempt to win over voters from the right. So Democrats only stand to lose support by taking on anti-trans or pro-Israel ideals. Kamala didn't lose based on her stance alone, but it certainly didn't help her.

This is basically the same problem Harris had in 2024. She stood with the Zionists, which alienated all the people who think genocide is wrong. Standing against genocide, much like standing with trans people, shouldn't be a difficult choice to make, but here we are.
