I've decided to clear out 1 garden bed & plant some fragrant, low maintenance, bee-friendly plants.

The "clear out" is daunting due to all the weeds & grass in the bed. The roses I'm taking out may live or die - i don't care.

God I do not enjoy gardening anymore. This is all for appearance sake.

I drove this morning in the awful rain. Didn't have any driving incidents on the roads. People kept their distance and zero ragers. Perfect.

And then in a quiet off street car park a woman went through a Give Way sign and almost t-boned me. WTF?!

Damn... 190 kids so far this year.

I would say that trick or treating is now firmly embedded in the Australian culture. Like it or not.

Personally I love seeing groups of kids & parents mixing happily together in my local community outside of school. It's positive, simple & effective.

I decided to embrace my weed-ridden depression-based garden beds and just whack my decorations among the towering thistle fronds.

I'm very grateful my kid's primary school is accepting of "off-brand" school clothing pieces.

As a person who grew up poor I appreciate this.

However I am NOT a fan of parents who bitch about a lack of uniform consistency in school photos. Reflects really badly on them.

Unexpected pain in my mid-to-lower guts this morning. Suspected digestion issue.

Would advise all folks to avoid this type of pain.

Ended up in tears in bed. Or pacing along my hallway, kneading my belly.

Upping my fiber. Just to be safe.

Better now but will monitor.

So I make washable menstrual pads. I know thats not everybody's cup of tea, but if you/a loved one need menstrual products and cant afford them& are comfortable with the idea of cloth pads. Mums are allowed to be annoyed at stuff. Kids included.

We are human. We react to the world around us and make mistakes too (oh no!).

The judgement that comes from being a Mum who is grumpy can F*CK right off.

I'm not a saint. I don't bottle (much). And I always try to be honest.

This is how old I am:

When I was 19yo my best friend took me to a computer lab at Deakin Uni Waurn Ponds to show me the chat feature on the PCs.

The lab was open all night and we're chatting anonymously with other Deakin students.

The year was 1993 & it was my first taste of the internet.

In Feb 2024 we had severe weather hit (SE suburbs). Wind & rain that destroyed trees, cars & houses.

It hit right at school pick up. Terrifying trying to shield your kid when you lose visibility & balance due to weather. We got lucky with a tree clipping our garage.
