We the Nuclear Free North is an alliance of people and groups opposing a Deep Geological Repository for nuclear waste in Northern Ontario. We oppose the transport, burial and abandonment of this radioactive waste in our northern watersheds.

We thank The Chronicle Journal for printing this letter to the Editor. The NWMO did not secure its required "robust expression of willingness" from host communities before announcing its site selection. What other promises might the nuclear industry break? The resistance continues.
