My folks are in town and we celebrated my birthday a few weeks early, so I asked if we could do origami together as an activity. I used to get this book from the library as a kid and wanted to figure out at least one of the animals I could never make. They’re far from perfect, but we all made ibexs!

My dad is digitally archiving all of our home videos and I wasn’t prepared to be absolutely obliterated by the Christmas where I got my first needlepoint canvases. Needlework has meant so much to me and I’m blessed by how much my family has nurtured it my whole life 💖

Finished painting the first batch of mini canvases, made homemade roasted veggies and butternut squash pasta sauce, and I’m getting cozy with the dogs and some good horror books and movies. I don’t care if it’s 87 degrees out, IT IS FALL NOW.
