February in the UK isn't known for days when you can be happily naked outdoors but occasionally it throws up a surprise — and heading into my second year of experimenting with outdoor naturism, I grabbed it straight by the rucksack straps!

It takes years for kids to learn that they can't be naked in certain situations. This is often achieved by teaching the child that the body is "dirty", or "offensive". And all this just to maintain "standards" in society.

It then sometimes takes a lifetime for adults to unlearn this.

The WNBRs are lots of things, but one of them is naked people mixing and socialising without worrying about the fact that they're naked, and without naked human bodies, others' and their own, being regarded as offensive, dirty, embarrassing or anything other negative quality.

Yesterday I went to Budby South Forest, thinking it was probably my last chance this year to visit somewhere @nakedmathematics.bsky.social had persuaded me was a must-go. It was amazing; the weather was perfect and I was able to spend around three hours exploring, nude except for a few brief 🧵
