#PudgyHorse Lascaux Tribute 2. A companion piece to the first, following one of the other cave horses with a darker colour morph. Again, painted with pigments made by Mary Sanche from Cretaceous rocks from the Albertan badlands. From 2020.

Nothing new for this year Dragon Age Day, this series inspired me and still inspire my art today, what a wonderful game...

So here are some of my favorite pieces made since last #DragonAgeDay !

watercolour (24x32) Description : Inquisitor Lavellan (Irisa Lavellan, dalish elf with white hair, Mythal vallaslin and wearing a red and grey armor with white wolf fur) with Solas (bald and wearing his armor from the Veilguard). Solas is standing behind her and is surrounded by black wolf fur, his hand oustretched towards a heart which connects him to an illusion of Lavellen in the foreground. Little context [English] : Two lovers, bound by their love and their hope to reunite one day. Lavellan is just an illusion, a fragment of a bygone past that haunts Solas standing right behind her. He tries to hold on to those ties that once connected them, those memories that he can't let go of and that he wants to cherish forever. A tragedy, a regret of the Dreadwolf. [the original in French] : Deux amants, liés par leur amour et leur espoir de se revoir un jour. La femme n’est qu’une illusion, un fragment d’un passé révolu qui hante l’homme se tenant juste derrière elle. Il tente de retenir ces liens qui les reliaient autrefois, ces souvenirs dont il ne peut se détacher et qu’il souhaite chérir à jamais. Une tragédie en soi, un lien affectif plus fort que le devoir, un passé qui ne peut nous échapper et auquel nous sommes à jamais liés.
