Dorothy Reid was a PEF member who worked for the Department of Mental Health Services for 28 years. She was also a named plaintiff in Brown v. Board of Ed, the landmark Supreme Court case that desegregated U.S. public schools. We take a moment to honor her legacy and her important role in history.

The Convention's largest delegation, from R8, met Tuesday night for their annual pre-Convention dinner in Albany. Secretary-Treasurer Joe Donahue, VP Bruce Giddings and R8 Coordinator Danielle Bridger welcomed more than 110 delegates and prepared them for what to expect in Lake Placid, Oct. 19-22.

The Membership Appreciation Day at Critz Farms in Cazenovia was another hit with PEF members on Sat! More than 115 members from across upstate enjoyed pumpkin and apple picking with their families, along with the corn maze and petting zoo, not to mention fresh apple cider and fritters!
