A wonderfully thought-out review of Supergiant’s sequel to their groundbreaking roguelike. Kronman does his due diligence to capture the game’s good and bad sides!

It’s essentially old TV The Game! Reminiscent of the time worn aesthetic captured by Hypnospace Outlaw (which is funnily enough bundled with Blippo+ on Steam). Channel surfing and web surfing do tend to go hand in hand after all!

Really cool to be that he keeps finding different ways to talk about the same kind of failure too. Getting Over It and Baby Steps are the same on paper, but communicate entirely different things with the same loop.

It's exciting to watch Bennett Foddy slowly become a champion of games meant to test the mettle of its players through absurd obstacles and abundant satire around one's subsequent failures.
