The Greens have a plan to provide people with meaningful work. Our Green Jobs Guarantee will deliver an initial 40,000 jobs to rebuild our infrastructure, restore nature and build homes for people to live in.

People want to work and there are masses of important projects for people to work on - housing, climate protection, nature regeneration and others.

The main barrier to people finding work is this Government.

Latest stats indicating the worst unemployment numbers since the outbreak of the pandemic are further proof that the Govt’s policies are forcing people further into hardship and poverty.

A Green Government will ban oil and gas exploration and make the common sense investment decisions for the modern, resilient country we all deserve.

The Govt knows reversing the oil & gas ban won’t deliver anything in the short to medium term but ultimately means far greater emissions, and far higher costs.

This is just another example of this Govt measuring its success by how much of corporate lobbyists' wishlists it can tick off.
