Amari Williams is in uniform for the Celtics. He played real minutes in the last Pistons game.

At the half Maine leads the Raptors 905 by three points.

Shulga had a strong half. He's improving.

Mike Zarren is in attendance.

Speaking of Maine Celtics centers, Hason Ward has begun to expand his offensive game by putting the ball on the floor and shooting a bit further from the rim This guy is probably two-way worthy and might earn that somewhere, hopefully with Boston.

Ward's long been an exceptional shotblocker.

Amari Williams made one play in the Maine Celtics game vs the undefeated Raps 905. Blocked the opposing center's shot at the rim, dribbled fast down court, made the lay up, and got fouled.

I thought he had slow feet. No. Not super lift, but not slow. He's a 7 foot point guard.

Trade season begins in two days. NBA trade restrictions lift on players signed in the offseason.

Brooklyn might be active. They are under the cap & ready to deal. The Celtics tried to sign Day'Ron Sharpe this summer. Not exciting, but he's a possibility for a backup center on a modest salary.

I don't want to jinx it, but the Celtics are ahead in free throw attempts at the half. The Cs haven't shot more from the line than their opponent yet this season.

Queta is someone to talk about for most improved, but if the Celtics get a nominee, it's Jordan Walsh, isn't it?

The Celtics are now 6th in the NBA dot com power rankings. They recently beat 2 teams above them.

They are 7th in the ESPN RPI rankings.
Relative Percent Index: 25% team winning percentage, 50% opponents' average winning percentage, and 25% opponents' opponents' average winning percentage.

Adding to optimism on the Celtics– their strength of schedule has been the 6th hardest to date, and their remaining strength of schedule is the 7th easiest.

Brad Stevens was great and so was Ime Udoka in his short stay, but Joe Mazzulla is the best Celtics coach in a long long time. The guy is brilliant. He's my favorite coach since Tommy Heinsohn terrorized the sidelines in his plaid sport jacket.

Amari Williams had a triple double for the Maine Celtics today. 10 points, 13 rebs, 11 assists.

Maine won their 8th straight.
December 7, 2025 at 11:28 PM
This Celtics season is a whole new kind of fun.
December 7, 2025 at 10:56 PM
Hugo at center.
December 7, 2025 at 9:20 PM
If the Celtics beat the Raptors tomorrow, they'll either be in sole possession of third place in the East, or they'll be tied for third and just 1/2 game out of second.
December 7, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Ron Harper ended up with 32. He's probably a future NBAer. He's a great shooter and there's more than that to his game.

Amari Williams is an exceptional passer and might have had a triple double if Maine hit those shots.

I don't know why no one offered Keon Johnson at least a 2 way.

The Maine Celtics are playing right now on NBCSB. At the half Maine is ahead by 13.

Harper has 19 points. Former Net Keon Johnson looks good and can REALLY jump. Amari Williams is moving his feet a bit better than when he first arrived in Maine.

Brad Stevens and Bill Chisholm are in attendance.

Gary Washburn on the Celtics in the Globe:

(The expectation of) competing for a play-in spot should be replaced by a top-four seed.

Walsh’s growth over the past month has been stunning.

Considering their recent success, it would be negligent if this roster wasn’t upgraded by the trade deadline.
December 6, 2025 at 2:01 PM
It's too early to say this, but is there any chance that Jordan Walsh is in the process of replacing Jrue Holiday as the tip of the spear on defense?

-

Possible large and fierce starting lineup when Tatum returns:

Queta, Tatum, Walsh, Brown, White

How many folks thought Jordan Walsh would reach indispensable status by early December? His rise is incredible.

The Celtics move into a tie for 4th in the East, and are as in he mix as anyone. Toronto is trailing CHA. Sunday's game could be for 3rd.

Tonight the three went down and so did LA.
December 6, 2025 at 2:38 AM
The Raptors lost tonight, which means the Celtics are 1.5 games out of second place in the East.
December 5, 2025 at 2:58 AM
The Celtics are now in 5th place in the East.

Career highs for Hugo and Walsh.

Walsh & Queta scored 39 points on 17 shots.

Brad Stevens didn't cut Walsh, which was smart.

Scheierman +42.

Mazzulla's Walsh/Minott combo is a great temporary fix for the center shortage.

Cs go from +4.1 to +6.
December 5, 2025 at 2:32 AM
If the Celtics open the 4th well their 2-wayers could get some pt in a bit.
December 5, 2025 at 1:53 AM
The Boston Celtics now have a better record than Kristaps Porzingis's Hawks, Al Horford's Warriors, and Jrue Holiday's Blazers. They trail Luke Kornet's Spurs.

The Cs have just moved into 6th place in the East, and are very close to the next few playoff spots.
December 4, 2025 at 3:02 AM
Minott, Walsh and Hugo all had shining moments contributing to the win. What Joe Mazzulla has gotten from this bench is pretty amazing. A bunch of question marks have turned into exclamation points.

The Celtics just beat Orlando, Detroit, Cleveland and New York.

Hugo in the first half and Walsh in the second were critical. Minott chipped in too.

Brown was all league after a rough first quarter.

Good game for White.

The C's are fun and on a run.

Mazzulla's a great coach.
