We’ve burned through savings that was supposed to get my partner a car, replacing my windshield, paying for medical expenses out of pocket because insurance hasn’t kicked in…
And my hours at work are reduced at the moment so my client can hire another caretaker for rides.

I’m honestly getting desperate. We keep having to sell stuff, and my car has been limping along on bald tires and no A/C, while my kid keeps growing and needing new clothes every 4 months. We utilize food banks to cover gaps in our grocery bill but the food banks are strapped lately too.

It is so tiring always needing money and ever since I deleted my Facebook none of my mutual aid sources see this stuff anymore.
And I hate it because I know everyone else is struggling too, I’m just out of options. I work my ass off but it’s just not enough.

I want bottom surgery.
Surgery scares me.
The healing process sounds daunting and I currently have a lifestyle that’s not conducive to taking several weeks of recovery.
If I don’t ever get it, that’s ok. What I have is fine, but it could be better.

Everyone who voted for this had plenty of warning. We shouted it from every corner we could, we talked to the people leaning right, we BEGGED. Everyone who put him in office is complicit in his crimes and if they regret it they need to come forth in contrition. There need to be consequences.

Here’s what you gotta understand. Lefties may be critical of mainline liberals but we DO know who the big bad is, the issue is the pervasive nature of prejudice and classism. It’s so easy to become complacent. None of us are immune. Progressiveness is an ongoing work, we can’t rest on our laurels.
