He’s not going to have time to think about what his daughter is doing and if she is getting married. It could be months or even years before he has little to plan but his daughter’s wedding.” And that means I can have more time with you. I kept that thought close to my heart and smiled at her. “There is going to be a lot of turmoil, I’m sure, but you can use it to your advantage.” “You’re right, Yuna,” she agreed and climbed down graciously from the windowsill. Her dress flowed down to her ankles unwrinkled, the peacock feather embroidery catching the light as she moved. “This could be a powerful time for not only Mokuratsu-ji, but for me as well. My sisters will be too busy with pointless gossip. I expect even now they are drinking tea, while our country is vulnerable.” “Vulnerable? How—” “Do you think the other countries stopped plotting war after they came for us? After the tempest was thrown into the ocean?” she hissed. “They’ll want revenge, just like my father does. Linnui to the north, so wretched few will even entertain their name on their lips. Jindae to the east, surrounded by many seas. They’ll have boats and armies ready to send straight to us, and we’ll be defenceless.”

Feeling pretty defeated.

It's been nearly a year since I released Tales of Yamato. I thought I'd do a giveaway on IG... 3 entries so far (1 is a friend). I want to be proud of my book, but most of the time it feels like nobody is interested. Asian fantasy is popular right now, but nope, not mine

Doing my first author event this year and my banner came today! I feel so small next to it... But it is very very purple. Like all good things are 😛 it's a horribly dim day so my pic of it wasn't the best, so I'll grab a better one soon. I just hope it'll be worth it

Draft2Digital print vs KDP for comparison, as both of these offer free ISBNs, as opposed to paying £375 for an ISBN bundle then printing via Ingram, which I haven't explored yet for the ISBN cost reasons. Free ones are US only.

Finished my current novel's first draft this week! It's taken forever, but now I'm there. And now comes all the editing and poking I desperately need to do to make it super good... First draft sits at 100k, so where might editing take me... I'm such an underwriter, there WILL be a higher word count!

Nearly at 100k for my current WIP! It's the most I have written on one project ever. I'm currently in the "I hate it all" stage though. But I do love the male love interest a lot. He's so gentle and kind and takes his duty very seriously. Including the spicy scenes 🤭

Gained a bunch of crafting stuff over xmas which is all sorts of fun, but where do I put it all?? I feel like I need a crafting table or something, so I can keep all my goodies tidy. Right now they are serving as foot rests. But I got a badge maker which is cool! Going to make some book badges!

Spent this month trying hard to write everyday and hit 50k (and get a big chunk of Unbound by the Sea done). Of course, this is when my body decides fuck you, time to flare up and be ill. Well, I've managed 30k at least and the month isn't over. My full doc is up to 83k and still a chunk to go too..
