One week until the official release of Unrivered means one more week of the low sale price! If you are so inclined, pre-ordering also gets you a custom broadside.

Thanks to those of you who have supported the book in this early phase...it means a lot.

Grateful to @hanvanderhart.bsky.social for our conversation about Unrivered & writing community. I'm always afraid to do interviews and podcasts, but Han makes it feel easy.

ON HENRI MATISSE'S
LES BÊTES DE LA MER (1951):
"With this piece, Matisse was near the end of his life, and he wasn't able to work in the same ways that he had been working. So he turned to cutouts.
I think this is a really beautiful and special piece. When I think about an artist's life, like when you've been working one way for a long time and then your body changes, maybe your eyesight changes or something about you changes and you adapt, and you create something like this piece."

Of Poetry is on a recording hiatus until Han catches up with editing—they have ten gorgeous conversations in the hopper, recorded nine this summer, and have seven upcoming with @riverriverbooks.bsky.social authors, & are feeling a bit swamped & froggy 🙏🐸

Summer reading: CERTAIN SHELTER by @abbiekiefer.bsky.social (@juneroadpress.bsky.social, 2024). Here are poems for a mother, “All These Things I Can’t Remember” & a father, “I Don’t Like Baseball, Just the Red Sox.” I recommend the @ofpoetrypodcast.bsky.social about this incredible debut. ♥️
