Also learned that some people at work were “shocked” learning that I’m a horror fan?
I do not keep this a secret, and I’m not sure what their expectations are of horror fans that would lead them to believe I don’t meet the criteria.

Finished my autumnal watch through of Over the Garden Wall, but now I’m trying to decide what horror series I want to start rewatching for spooky season. Last year I did the Saw series and the alien series I think… hm. I could go classic slashers like Nightmare on Elm Street or the like… or!+

So easy to crash face first into uncanny valley territory, especially if you can’t hide behind distance or darkness to conceal some of the oddities or minuscule textural differences.

Also I was in fact thinking of renesme from twilight this entire time lmfao

I think it has to do with people’s (in general) visualsensitivity to human-like things and the amount of detail you’re actually seeing. Because technically buildings you’re usually seeing at more of a distance anyway, and your brain is more forgiving regarding textures, etc. but with babies?
