Nibble, denizen of the waters around Rougeport, and a rather problematic encounter. Lives up to its name; biting everything, including other fish, just for the fun of the game

Unfortunately, that includes the Blurp girl herself - Ouch!

Blurp Girl, having exited the water on a platform seemingly located in Rougeport Underground. She looks upset, looking back at her injured tail. Behind her, Nibble leaps out of the water enthusiastically.

Nibble, a fish with an appearance closely resembling a Chain Chomp. Known for preventing players from taking a dip in the water in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door by snapping at them and launching them back to shore. It is undetermined whether 'Nibble' refers to an individual, or if the whole species shares the name... and its nature of biting everything that enters the water makes it rather hard to determine.

While she does find Nibble very cute, the constant biting means she can't actually go in the water for a swim, lest she get bitten by Nibble's razor-sharp teeth. Sadly, nothing seems to stop that snapping spree, so pool's closed whenever it's around, which Blurp Girl is very sad to hear.

Back to the deep oceans to find a school of Rip Van Fish... and a bonus appearance from @randomriot.bsky.social fish girl, Zee, as well!

Known for their sleepiness, they REALLY don't like being disturbed during nap time. Probably a bad time to say 'hello' then...

Rip Van Fish are known for their sleepiness; spending most of their days conserving energy as they nap on lake beds and oceanic caves. The problem, however, is that they are easily disturbed from their sleep by noise or motion, and are typically very aggressive for a while upon waking up, so it's always advised to be cautious around them.

She finds their sleeping faces very silly so she likes to watch them nap, but she's not very good at keeping still and quiet as she does so. Once they wake up she often finds herself having to make herself scarce, which is unfortunate.

Blurp Rating (Rip Van Fish):⭐️⭐️⭐️

The follow-up, where the Blurp Girl's careless greetings cause the Rip Van Fish to wake up. Worse yet, it appears more of the school was napping just out of sight, and now various pairs of glistening eyes are watching and approaching from the darkness. Zee, RandomRiot's fish girl, simply freezes mid-wave and waits awkwardly for them to calm down... hopefully...

I mean, Zee is here, and she IS a fish, and it would surely be wrong of the Blurp Girl to not acknowledge her, right?

At the same time, it's not nice to rank and rate friends like that... but the ranking system is already set up... oh well, there's an easy solution to this:

Cheep Cheeps; probably one of the most common species in the mushroom kingdom's waters

They come in all sorts of colours and varieties and are quite tame, so regardless of their simple appearance there's always room for spectacle 'v'

Starting from the leftmost Cheep Cheep in the circle and going anti-clockwise we have: Eep Cheep (Yellow), Super Mario World Cheep Cheep (Brownish orange), a 'basic' Cheep Cheep (Red), one from one of the Mario and Luigi games (Purple), one using the colouration from Mario 3's Fortress levels (Blue) and an alternate Cheep Cheep colour scheme now mostly seen on Deep Cheeps (Green)

Cheep Cheeps are simple, most just swim around all day in the water rather aimlessly, and while their appearance is simple there is a large variety among their species regarding colouration.

Simple as they may be, she can't help but admire how carefree they appear, and the large varieties make no two schools truly alike.

Considering she lives in Dinosaur Land, I wonder if she's ever encountered Nep-Enut before? Well, she certainly has now 'v'

She thinks they're pretty cool; she can swim in them and they don't seem to mind her being there

Blurp Girl, swimming around inside a Nep-Enut from Yoshi's Island. She's looking up at its face from within, while the Nep-Enut is looking back down at her, a little confused.

Nep-Enuts are a vague relative of the Blargg that live in, and are at least partially made of, water. They were never particularly common, but as time has gone on they've become rarer and rarer to encounter, presumably due to how much the island has changed over the years.

Even so, Blurp Girl is happy to encounter one, swimming around inside it quite happily. Thankfully, the Nep-Enuts don't seem to mind, even if they find it a little confusing. I mean, at the end of the day, it's basically a living pool of water so of course she's going to like them.

The waters of the mushroom kingdom are full of a huge variety of fish. However, of the larger species, the Porcupuffer stands out due to its... tenacity

Bad-tempered and dangerous, even to other fish. She isn't very fond of these guys

Blurp Girl being dragged away by a Porcupuffer, as one of its spines has pierced her swimsuit and gotten snagged on it. Blurp Girl doesn't look so much worried as annoyed, sat on the Porcupuffer's back with her arms crossed.

Porcupuffers are one of the larger fish species that can be found among various parts of the mushroom kingdom. They tend to dwell near the surface, but have been spotted at deeper depths as well from time to time. They are noticeably rather aggressive, though unlike other large fish it isn't due to a desire to feed - they just aren't particularly social creatures.

Typically, seeing one of them is bad news, and they tend to bully other creatures out of the water, especially the more humanoid ones like Mario and co. This has lead to a few... altercations between the Blurp girl and Porcupuffers in the past, so her opinion of them is rather poor as a result.

She's now visiting an old castle, remnants of an adventure Yoshis embarked on long ago... to encounter the Spray Fish

Only found near the surface, they store water and blast it out their mouth as a powerful jet... I suppose it's kinda like a shower?

The Blurp girl walking inside the remains of one of the castles from the game Yoshi's Island. As she does so, a stray Spray Fish blasts water upward, which rains back down upon her.

Spray Fish, as the name implies, spray water from their mouths that they store in their bodies. This is mainly to knock potential prey in the water, but is also an attempt to deter potential pests or predators. They live in the shallows and are not particularly common, so she doesn't encounter them very often.

An uncommon sight, but not much to look at admittedly as they could be very easily mistaken for a Cheep Cheep when submerged. But she does appreciate potentially being able to be moistened even on-land, and they can potentially act as an impromptu shower or some concentrated rainfall, so she still likes them.

Back to the seas of the Mushroom Kingdom (Mario Bros. U specifically) for a rare Dragoneel sighting!

Majestic, powerful, but dangerous. With some practice you could ride on one... maybe... probably not a good idea actually...

The Blurp girl riding upon a large Dragoneel, holding on just behind its head. The Dragoneel seems to be winding its way through the water effortlessly, seemingly not too bothered by her presence.

Back to the Mushroom Kingdom for another of her favourite sea creatures; the imposing Dragoneel! A large red creature somewhere between an eel and a wyrm... as the name would imply. Wings either side of its head, a long red body, and a long purple fin that extends down to its tail.

She's always a fan of seeing these. They're a rare sight but when they do show up they are impossible to miss due to their vibrant colours and colossal size. They are quite dangerous, however, and you must take great caution when nearby. Even so, she wishes she could just sit and watch them all day... but she doesn't have gills so that really isn't an option.

She's now on a tour across the Mario world's seas to look at all manner of sea creatures - for today: Sluglugs (Mario Wonder's Flower Kingdom)

Happy, carefree, but spiky. Friendly, yes, but hug with caution! She likes these silly big guys 'v'

Blurp girl is now visiting various other denizens of the Mario world's oceans, given the response to a question I posed a couple days ago.

Here she's sinking down into the waters of the Flower Kingdom from Super Mario Bros. Wonder to visit the Sluglugs; large, spiky sea slug-like creatures with a blue and purple body covered in yellow spikes.

While they're generally happy creatures, their bodies are still dangerous to carelessly touch due to all the spikes. It's hard to tell if they're even aware that they're dangerous considering they always seem to wear a dorky smile, but with enough care you could probably give one a hug.

Deluge and Dread

(Wanted to give her a name that sounded like she made up to sound cool)

The Drowned Zombie girl from a few pieces ago, now given a name; Deluge. Her design is mostly the same minus the addition of actual shorts and some wraps around the trident's handle to make it more comfortable to hold.

However, she is not alone this time: She stands atop a colossal zombie Nautilus whom she has called 'Dread'.

Despite these equipment upgrades and new titles, Deluge still isn't actually as threatening as she hopes you'll believe...

Shiny Lickilicky girl for today

An amazing cook who can make a meal out of basically anything but a bit of a klutz

So here's a HUGE Dayzee girl 'o'

The beanstalk is also now a dress and there's plants and blocks and leaves and stuff around the waist 'v'

A very large girl based on a Crazee Dayzee, or more specifically the beanstalks in the background of the Yoshi and the Mysterious Book trailer. She is stood up, looking down to the ground and towards the viewer. Due to her sheer size, some of her upper body stands above the clouds.

She's wearing a huge dress made of various parts based on the nearby environment: the bottom part of the dress consists of twisting vines, and around the waist various plants and blocks rest on the dress, surrounded by a vast field of orange leaves. The upper half of the dress is made of more organised vines, making an almost corset-like shape, and the bust consists of various large plush petals. The shoulder pads are orange and she also has two green long-sleeve gloves on that sit at around 2/3 of her arms' length.

Her body, meanwhile, is more humanoid but still retains some Dayzee features, especially regarding the face. However, she also has 'hair' at the back made of the beanstalk's vine curling back around, with some yellow flowers dotted about.
