In 2018, New York completed a project to replace the nearly 70-year-old Tappan Zee Bridge over the Hudson River with a new structure. Gov. Andrew Cuomo named it after his father, former governor Mario Cuomo. No one calls it the Mario Cuomo Bridge. It is still called the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Like many other corporate leaders, Bezos realized that under Trump, there would be no draining of the swamp. He is the swamp, and no need to spend money on lobbyists who try to persuade regulators at independent agencies or lawmakers in Congress.
