This is my explanation of the massive spoof event such as on June 14, it was simply a very good day for signal transmission. The transmitters in Kaliningrad are high power, under right condition, signals travel far beyond horizon, and all targets solve a location based on identical data

In short: The spoofers send fake satellite trajectories AND fake distances to these spoofed satellites. This is the only way two disparate receivers are going to solve positions at same place

No publications I have seen have dissected the content of a Pole-21 signal. I would very much like to see the transmitted ephemeris, how doppler frequencies are modulated and what time codes are sent. But I guess that is saved for some completely different eyes to read

If the ephemeris where correct and only fake distances are sent, the receivers will solve for fake locations RELATIVE to the true position of the satellite. But now all targets calculate positions vs same absolute location, the spoofed (fake) satellites

BROADCAST is the keyword here. The spoof signals are not tailored per target, regardless if receiver is in Gdansk, Bornholm or SE Gotland, they are spoofed to same location in Kaliningrad (during optimal atmospheric conditions). How can this be achieved? Note some passages in the articles

It is not only blasting signals, the ephemeris, frequencies (including Doppler effects) and pseudoranges (the clock signals) need to be carefully crafted to create the spoof locations

Ducting is a very seasonal effect, but one idea may be that they are targeting tropospheric scatter, firing fairly high energy signals at sky that will distribute at high ranges, ”raining down” on receivers

The details of how the jammers operate is still a mystery to me and there is still work to be done for a hobby enthusiast. Which satellites are spoofed? Do they transmit same ephemeris? How many transmitters are needed to modulate a circle? Capturing gnss signals would be high on wish list

Ambulances on south Sweden island Öland are reporting daily issues with their navigation systems, including spoofing and software that hangs.

These nowadays widespread sea level effects are puzzling. From known jammer locations one can not reach this far via line of sight. Space? Ship?
