With a large event you have the possibility of someone going 5-0 and finishing in 5th place, behind someone who went 4-2.

You also have the issue that some players will need to stay late to play 6 games, but won't know that ahead of time, which can impact travel plans.

SoCal community is bigger than it has ever been. We had a 40 player RTT this last weekend. There are usually 2-3 RTTs happening within 75 miles of me each weekend. We no longer worry too much about events clashing with each other - they’ll all fill up anyway
