Very rare use at Gatwick - the airport is overwhelmingly for airline use. Runway expansion would benefit normal people who travel. Not private jet users

This is a political party which has never, not once, called out the new super powers which are reliant on fossil fuels. The very same party which votes against clean UK nuclear power… And they are determined to make travel abroad for normal people more expensive.

It is repugnant.

The Green Party are not anti-rich. They are anti working people improving their lives. NIMBYs

Gatwick expansion means more noise, more pollution, and no real jobs boost. This project is a runway to climate chaos which hits the poorest hardest, while the super-rich keep flying. Not the future we need.

I also tend to show a lot more Air France Concordes, rather than BA, because it was more their baby.

For British Airways, Concorde was always a tool and always had to be profitable.

For Air France it was a symbol and was far beyond simple arguments of cost (until it crashed anyway).

It shows how messed up our politics is today when “socialists” protest against airports expansion and a more globalised world… They are no such thing.

They do not have a positive vision for the future. They are luddites who claim the left wing name of politics for votes only.

Concorde was ultimately a socialist project. It was state funded, built by state paid workers, in a pan European state driven enterprise.

Unions threatened to go on strike when the project was threatened with cancellation.

Concorde’s costs at British Airways were subsidised by the taxpayer.
