The Snohomish County Auditor and Snohomish County Hearing Examiner dismissed Boucsieguez’s most recent accusations against Binda as lacking merit. An investigation by the Snohomish County NAACP found that Binda was unfairly targeted over his race and age.

Some city council races in Lake Forest Park and Kenmore are close.

A year ago, LFP became the first city to install 24-hour speed cameras authorized under a new state law. Ticket revenue funded traffic safety studies, court clerks, police officers, and new police cars. Crosswalks and more cameras may also be funded. local.interurbancanopy.news/p/lake-fores...

Lynnwood will receive a share of the opioid settlement funds nearly 20 times greater than Shoreline’s. Bothell’s share of the opioid settlement funds are over 10 times more than Shoreline’s. Even Lake Forest Park will get more funds than Shoreline.

Shoreline has repeated this sentence over the years to disclose its opioid settlement plans: "The City is already administering the funds it has received from the prior settlements and will include these funds in that amount." Literally, that word salad is all they say.

As Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Bothell, and Lynnwood accept opioid epidemic payouts, how much each city receives and how the funds will be spent varies widely.

I had coffee with State Representative Lauren Davis to talk about the 2025 session. She discussed her Domestic Violence Co-Responder (HB 1498) and Certified Peer Support Specialists (SHB 1427) bills. Both passed with bi-partisan support.
