this image yall chose is fucking crazy for a few reasons
A base that has long made pragmatic, sober decisions appears increasingly attracted to charismatic outsiders who promise to break from the party’s failures of the last decade. They see their party’s leaders as feckless and inept.

It’s the Democratic Tea Party, with a twist. trib.al/mC5cBDA

we are kind of approaching public execution levels of criminality here
There needs to be some serious accountability for the colossal harm to life these absolute demons have caused, and will cause. Life in prison is the moderate option.

my dad sent me this and felt compelled to call me and tell me to read it like i was supposed to be afraid. first of all this guy is a CEO of an AI company and secondly accounting requires a subtle level of criminality that AI will never learn

Something I’ve been thinking about re: conservatives after the Bad Bunny halftime is how so many things about your average Republican in this country come down to a complete lack of curiosity about the world. Just tell me what my opinions are, don’t challenge anything, don’t make me think critically

i just feel like you shouldn't get a sixth year because of your tonsils and judges rooting for your school shouldn't get to hear the cases
BREAKING: Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss gets another year of eligibility, after an injunction ruling by a state court in Mississippi.

Comes after the NCAA denied a waiver three times. Judge said the NCAA acted in bad faith in denying a 2022 tonsil issue with 2025 documentation.

MacKinnon, from McDavid and Crosby. Celebrini, to open the scoring. Canada’s men’s hockey return to the Olympics was about everything you could ask for, 12 years later. www.thestar.com/sports/olymp...
Bruce Arthur: MacKinnon from McDavid and Crosby? Canada delivers almost everything you could ask for in NHL’s return to Olympics
Team Canada returned to best-on-best Olympic hockey with a commanding 5-0 win over Czechia. And they put on quite a show.

The beginning of the end for Nick Castellanos’ time in Philadelphia came on June 16, 2025.

The outfielder carried a beer into the Phillies dugout in the middle of a game and yelled at coaches and manager Rob Thomson.

In the eyes of Castellanos’ teammates, a line had been crossed.

The View of Toledo is maybe my favorite painting in the world.

It is not an accurate representation of the city of Toledo.

But it isn’t a hallucination as an AI would create, either. It’s one man’s singular vision and perception of the city he lived in, displayed in his utterly singular manner.

I tend to think it will always just be a facsimile of art, because I think art does require the human touch.

But I also recognize that isn’t really a great answer. It’s kinda hand-wavey. Question-beggy.

But I know the technology isn’t close to being able to be called art right now.
can it ever be art though even if it eventually looks the same
