Se, että alkaa julkisuudessa valittamaan pääsemättömyydestään Kirjailijaliiton jäseneksi, taitaa olla ihan pomminvarmin keino varmistaa, ettei koskaan tulevaisuudessa pääsekään.

Measuring trust isn’t enough. Furthering knowledge about the institutions and norms of science is the best way to build credibility.

The political difficulty of successfully reintroducing conscription (quite apart from whether it would be a good idea operationally) would be at least as difficult as raising taxes to pay for a larger all-volunteer army. Might as well do the latter.

Edelleen: puolustumenojen rahoitus pitäisi kaataa kokonaisuudessaan elinkeinoelämän niskaan. Jos saastaisen suomalaisen roskasakin kuuluu puolustaa hengellään yritysten tuotantovälineitä ja pääomia, on vain kohtuullista, että ne maksavat viulut.
