The political difficulty of successfully reintroducing conscription (quite apart from whether it would be a good idea operationally) would be at least as difficult as raising taxes to pay for a larger all-volunteer army. Might as well do the latter.

Edelleen: puolustumenojen rahoitus pitäisi kaataa kokonaisuudessaan elinkeinoelämän niskaan. Jos saastaisen suomalaisen roskasakin kuuluu puolustaa hengellään yritysten tuotantovälineitä ja pääomia, on vain kohtuullista, että ne maksavat viulut.
