An unfortunate start to the season for Mads 😔
Mads Pedersen was forced to abandon the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana after crashing on Stage 1. Lidl-Trek confirmed on social media that the Dane was taken to hospital for assessment.
The team will provide further updates when available.

Oh, and also from this podcast they talk about Ayuso. Mads, Skjelmose and Norsgaard say that he's completely 100% the opposite of what the media has portrayed. He is a part of the team. He seems happy and easy going. They think he found the ideal environment at trek 🙃
They also talk about how Skjelly felt a lot of pressure to go to the tour last year. He realizes now because of miscommunications. But he found himself fearing for a depression almost because he could not find any motivation and didn't function in his daily life. It was hard preparing for the tour➡️
