What I learned in 2025.

Most people aren't solving a painful problem.

That's why everything feels so hard.

- marketing it is hard.

- talking about it is hard.

- finding customers is hard.

But, if a problem is painful enough

People will come to you for help

Had this plant for over 20yrs

1st 5yrs it only needed water

The last 15+ years I've managed propagated, replanted repotted and transformed it into what it is today...

Just like any thing in life it takes time. Relationships Business and everything in between.

We have to work at it

3 mistakes I made 2yrs ago

- I said yes to everyone
- I jumped on every call
- I spent too long on SM

So in 2025 I changed . . .

- I said no to everything
- I chose emails over calls
- I focused on helpful posts

The results ?

+ More Clarity
+ Better Opportunities

Waiting for my espresso this morning

I had the strangest thought . . .

Go after a legacy industry

I promise, it's an underrated strategy

Approach it with that startup energy

KPIs . Northstars . Low CAC . High LTV

Let me know how it's going . . .

I've stopped obsessing about AEO

This weekend reminded me that it didn't matter because

- only 1% of traffic come from AI Search

- over 90% of that traffic is from ChatGPT

- writing for humans is a better strategy

I'll focus on writing for real people.

It's not the algorithm.

It's your post.

Most posts suck.

A writing system will fix this.

Build a system for:
- product launches.
- promoting webinars.
- announcing progress.

You'll write better posts faster with a good system.

DM for info.

I took a break from SEO

Spent time building a prompt library instead.

The Goal:
help business owners write better, faster

Next:
- invite you to submit your prompts
- make it easy for others to try it
- share usage stats and iterate
- test with Gemini 3.0

More SEO next week 💪

So many people struggle with this but. .

Great content demands great context

Generic stuff ruins timelines.

Try to:
- Educate
- Entertain OR
- Evoke Emotion

Don't get stuck writing for everyone.

2 things marketing will NEVER give you

1️⃣ instant gratification
2️⃣ predictable results

As a startup founder, one thing is clear.

Marketing is everything that tech is NOT.

Just pick a channel and show up every day.

AI has made it easy to build a startup.

But distribution in 2025 is still the real challenge.

I'll be honest, validating an idea is harder now than ever

What worked in 2021 won't work today

Time to rethink how we approach distribution

Juggling kids and eldercare?

Just spent 3 months diving into this silent struggle.

Truth is . . .

Many are quietly overwhelmed

But isolation isn't the answer

Who is solving this problem today?

Repost and comment for reach.

Life update
spent weekend moving my elderly in-laws downstairs

At 80+ years old going up and down stairs is too dangerous

Apart from that I spent the afternoon making changes to the draft studio on SoSavvy

Getting close to inviting a few people to try using it (for free)

Relaunching soon 😍!

Early customers are your earliest investors

As a tech founder trying to build a business, here's the truth

early customers don't care about code

They care about our passion

They invest in our vision

Not the features

But the mission

They're your unpaid marketing team

Let's look after them

Life comes at you fast . . .

Looking after ageing parents quickly resets your priorities

More doctor visits, less free time.

US average age will be 41 in 2035.

Eldercare systems are strained.

And I'm unsure if there's a better way.

Are you juggling life and caregiving?
November 6, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Instead of posting about startup features

tell us *why* you started. . .

share the frustrating issue you faced

post about what drove you to start building

use this formula to write your founder origin story 👇

I thought posting daily was a growth strategy

Turns out I was wrong.

4 weeks ago I started writing blogs to help my ideal customers.

Now they get real value from the growth secrets in the blogs.

10 blogs written. 105 to go

Progress is slow but steady!
November 5, 2025 at 4:46 PM
99% of followers aren't your clients

Lurkers who NEVER engage actually bring the sales

Your cheerleaders may not be ideal clients

But they will👇

✅ Try out the product
✅ Champion your journey
✅ Recommend their friends

Remember, super fans bring more than sales

They bring unshakable support.

Staying consistent here is hard.

I'm juggling elder care while building content tools for anyone that's stuggling.

Creating resources to help you show up here is my goal.

And that's what really keeps me going.

Most founders HATE sharing their SaaS

I get it.

I did too, scared of what people might think, I hid in the shadows.

Turns out, you need to share your startup

Knowing how to do it "tastefully" is what matters.

Maybe I'll do a deep dive and write a content system for SaaS Founders . . . 🤔
Behind every product feature there's a business benefit.

But behind every business benefit there's a deep pain your client is trying to solve.

I used this exact prompt to uncover that pain when I wrote my last blog (see comments)

Steal my prompt for killer ideas👇

99% of recruiters copy-paste job vacancies

But The top 1% share their sourcing strategy

1️⃣ They connect with candidates

2️⃣ They jump on zoom calls

3️⃣ They build relationships

4️⃣ They share insights

Stop posting vacancies.

Start meeting candidates.

Recruitment is Broken . . . 😢

I worked in corporate for 2 decades

Wasted my time interviewing the wrong candidates

As a SaaS founder I still waste weeks doing this

Average recruiters post job vacancies

High-performing ones share unique insights
